Fabriciids are small tubiculous fanworms, generally less than 2 mm long. They are characterised by a 3-segment abdomen, a radiolar crown with three pairs of radioles and some characteristic chaetal traits only seen under a microscope.

Characteristics

Fabriciids are small tube worms, generally not exceeding 2 mm in length, and are therefore hard to find. They are characterised by having a short abdomen, generally with 3 segments, and also a few radioles. They are closely related to serpulids and sabellids and members of these three families are commonly known as fanworms.
