Key facts

Length up to 100 cm, width up to 6 mm. Head flat and round with numerous dark eyes distributed along margins. Body flattened, dorsally groundcoloured yellowish brown, with thin and dark lines sometimes fusing to a completely dark impression. Ventrally paler. Some specimens with pale tail. Living in crevices, under boulders or in clusters of blue mussels.
